A friend emailed me the other day, he had been given a lump of wood for his woodburner, he thought it was too good to burn and did I want it.

It was only a lump of Walnut three foot long and nine inches across, what do you think my answer was?

Well I said yes, surprise surprise, now the question is do I leave it whole or do some processing, it has been down since March, and there are a (few) cracks in it?
