You invent a national game, then employ people from other countries to play said game!
You teach them every thing you know, then wonder why their country beats yours!:nooidea:
If the TV cover was cancelled when they get knocked out, I would be happy:devil:

Oh the bliss .. They looked like charging donkeys ..

Three legged donkeys. Mind you I have some sympathy with the players, how on earth do we expect them to perform when they have only known who the squad is for a couple of months, by contrast the squad that was to compete for the 2003 Rugby World cup was selected six months after the 1999 world cup and only two changes were made to that squad. They trained, socialised and developed that squad mentality for three years. An interesting parallel, (Sir) Clive Woodwards primary sport was football and since he went to school in Anglesy he had trials for the Welsh (U18??) before starting work in London and taking up Rugby. His book "Winning" is a fascinating insight into sports management and his life around that world cup. Well worth a read regardless of whether you follow football, rugby, or just enjoy the ironing.

What do you mean polishing the golf clubs:devil:

Football and golf. Derek, Golf? Why? what makes the average intelligent human want to dress up like an artists pallet, half length trousers, long socks and cardigans that went out of fashion in the 1960s and drag a heavy bag of unnecessarily expensive bits of ironmongery around a course and end up where you first started?

Put like that it makes one want to sell their clubs init?
And to top it all the lowest score wins?? How can that be?

It could be worse, we could be spending millions of £££££££££££££££££ and hosting it, still losing, even more of it on the telly and in the papers. :thinks:

Just as well most of the world hate us, they will never give it us again :whistling::whistling::whistling:
