If I see something that may be useful, or at a particularly good price, then I'll get it.

Otherwise it's normally when I've run out, thus leading to the invention of some new swears!

Basically no rhyme or reason at all!

Whenever I need to really. I always have a list of bits I "need" but I never get to the end of it!

Ots a question of supply and demand. I went mad when I started and to this day im still working through some of it. These days, as long as ive got enough for emergency presents etc and a bit to play with, I buy as and when I need to.

Now is the time to buy from USA as the exchange rate is good, not been this high for a few years. Makes buying cheaper for us.. Even if the tax man and post office have their bit as well..

Take a guess
I just get gear as & when, usually if it's cheap or better still free, I bought my present lathe about 9 years ago when I took turning up again & I'm still turning wood I harvested at that time.
I'm of the opinion that what I spend/ forage today will make things cheaper in the future when I finally come up with an idea of what I'm going to use it for :nooidea:

No set pattern but it dose depend on what I'm making big platters and bowls take a lot of whatever finish I put on like sanding sealer I can use 1/2 Lt in a week on some of the big stuff but it will last for months on pens the same with polishes and the like so for me as and when needed

Depends on what I have in the shed. It's been/going to be an expensive month, got a delivery from TB on Friday as well as one from Vinny at The Turners Workshop. We went to Keswick yesterday and called in at G & S Specialist Timber and spent money in there as well. Going to Warrington next weekend so am bound to spend some money on kits at the Axminster shop as well :whistling:

Is it worth having a group buy for some useful pen kits. :nooidea:

Generally as and when kits and blanks are needed, although if theirs a bit of spare cash about I might buy kits that may have savings say when you get a reduction for buying 10 at a time :thinks::thinks::thinks:
