Celtic Cross Gone Wrong

This was the first attempt on my Radial Arm Saw to make a Celtic Cross. The wood used is a piece of cross cut Thuya Burr, accents are used from black satin slimline kit.

I had set up the saw the day before, using a set square to the blade, or i thought i had. I was doing test cuts on pieces of wood at several sizes, all larger than 1" square, all seemed fine. So on my third cut of the Celtic Cross i noticed that the cut was slightly off, pen now worthless .. I finished the pen as it will come in use for a friend. After all this i tested cutting 1" square pieces and noticed that the bottom edge of the blank had ran off on several cuts, not all of them? I haven't yet had a chance to do a full check on the saw and find the issue, but for now the saw has become useless for my purpose until i find out what is causing the problem. Oh the pain of pen making ...
