I was not happy with the bottom half for obvious reasons.

First and foremost welcome to the forum William. I can see what you mean about the bottom section near the nib section. I also think the pen is a little bulbous but that is only my opinion as some people prefer bulbous pens !!!

Welcome William, if you have a pen mill you could use this to take a tad of the bottom for a better match at the nib .. I do like how you have used the corian, and understand that you have had to leave some beef on the pen for this to be effective .. Damn good effort indeed ..

While the pen itself is not to my taste (too bulbous) and the nib join is not the best, I love the work you've done with the corian! How did you make the corian rods? Core-drill?

Making the rods was the tricky part. I used a piece of angle iron, drilled the diameter hole I wanted the rods to be then followed over the top with to larger drill bits. Don't drill all the way through with the last two bits, make a step. Then I cut my material down to about 1/4 in or smaller, round off one of the ends, place the larger end into a drill and then run the material through the angle iron. I would cut off rods after you have around two inches of length. Any more questions let me know.
