The wood used on this pen is, Boxwood, Indian Rosewood and Bloodwood, along with 1mm black plastic and off cuts from a piece of Truestone. I cut 45° angles into the Boxwood and Indian Rosewood about 3/4" long, i then glued the two pieces together making them square, i used the bandsaw to reduced the sizes, once all the separate pieces were done i glued them together, adding the Bloodwood, plastic and Truestone to the blank ends, sanded them down drilled and then left a few days before turning them today. It would be easier to have glued lattes together so then cut the glued piece at an angle, this would have given the same result other than seeing the glued area of the squares. But to do this you need plenty of wood, which i didn't have …
