Logs To Boxes

Last year i had a few large logs give to me, one was an Alder, one was a Eucalyptus, the other not sure but looks a little like Sycamore? Anyway the other day i decided it was time to cut them down into useful pieces for boxes, and if lucky a couple of bowls.

Some of the wood after the chain saw had cut them, waiting to be placed on to the bandsaw.

One bowl, quite a few blocks for boxes, and some cut off's for pen blanks ... :thumbs:

Looks as thou you have plenty to work with there Jim, is the wood ready to turn?

I did turn one box, but not got back just yet to turning more. Hopefully i will this year ... :nooidea:

nice bit a splatting on there Jim oh and smell it if it smells mentholy then its eucalyptus :thumbs: nice job.
