Evening all. It has come to my attention that in some cases people are having issues with the bushings.

One issue seems to be the fit between the bushes of the larger tube and the brass tube in some case being too tight.
Another issue of the center hole being off center in the small bushing (only 1 reported issue).

In the short term there's not a great deal I can do until I have had replacements made.

If these issues effect you please pm me and I will Arrange replacements when they arrive.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Not an issue for me Dan, nothing I can't round.
I only put them in to confirm Ray issue which I found mine to be different.

I just tried the bushes and the bottom longer tube, the bushes are a touch on the slack side and the bushes for the larger dimeter top tube is probably the best fit I have have seen of any bushes, no discernible slap at all, if all bushes were that close it would be a pleasure. It does sound like the bushes could be quite variable or is it the tubes?

Just a quick update with regards to the issue with the bushings. With help from Alex (thank you) I have ordered replacement bushings to be made that will hopefully be ready by Tuesday. The new bushings will have the following changes. Large bushing will be 0.1mm smaller to allow for an easier fit into the large tube. The small bushings will have a 0.1mm increase to allow for a better fit into the tube. I have also mentioned the off center hole in the small bushing that some of you mentioned (I currently have 8 on my desk with the same issue). Again I am very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused some of you. Long term i have ask Rizheng to manufacture me some new sets (rizheng do not make the Omega incase you are worrying).

Any issues please let me know.

Dan

Thanks for the update Dan, appreciated.

As for inconvenience, don't sweat it. Your reaction on being notified was to your credit. That's why I PM'd my problem in case it was a one off, didn't want it to spark any unwanted reaction.

Put it down to sh*t happens :bwink:

Hi Dan

my bushings were a good round fit on the mandrel
i do have to use a vice to "seat" them and a "drift" to remove them on the larger tube
but as you are resolving then no big issue...but I do realise the inconvenience it has caused you
I will order a new set with next order

Steve
