A slight variation on the Cat box I posted before.
190 x 135 x 90mm
The face is two different cuts of steamed Beech (from an old table)
The frame is Wenge from an off cut given to me by a musical instrument maker, and the carcass is Ash, gifted by somebody who (luckily) thought it was too good to burn!

The inside is lined with Cork.

The "paw" clasp and box both have a magnet inserted. If opened by the lid, the clasp jumps out and in, like a little pounce.

I have already commented on this on the WWI forum, so I will say exactly the same here:

A delightful little box Neil. The wenge is a perfect contrast for the ash and creates a superb visual break between the scroll sawn steamed beech and the ash frame. A lovely piece of design.

Thanks guys.
I'm thinking of trying to find some decent free clip art images to convert into scroll patterns.
If I end up with any decent ones I will make them available here.
Regards,
Neil
