As a newbie to this game and having received a warm welcome I thought I would take the liberty of showing a few of my early efforts. Any comments most welcome.
The first picture shows slimline kits. The finish is sanding sealer with beeswax and then carnauba wax.7mm pens first.jpg
The second is my first attempt at a Baron. This was made using a blank from a Jack Daniels barrel and is simply polished in its own shavings so that it retains the aroma. I was a little sceptical but it seems to work and the recipient was delighted.

Bugger all wrong with any of them in my opinion.
I have some whiskey blanks to try but they look a bit bland so I haven't bothered with them but seeing this might change my mind.

These look good Allen, the slims are fine but the Barron is a classy pen and looks very good with the Whiskey blank ... :bwink:

First attempts !!!! wish my first attempts were this good.

Got to agree - fine pens but the Baron looks minted.
Got a couple of bags of those whisky barrel blanks ( I know the bloke that cut a lot of them up) don't think there is much aroma to em but that may be just me :nooidea::nooidea:
