A while ago Vince sent me a few vintage cellulose acetate blanks as a freebie with an order and I just came across them again today when looking for something different for one of Dan's Omega rollerballs.

Looks rather retro I think, suitable for wannabe Miss Marples or M. Poirots perhaps.

Comments and critique welcome.

Thanks chaps, I love these old acetates, they turn beautifully and polish like glass.

This one came pre-drilled to about 9mm and I had to drill it out for the Omega tubes. When I had finished drilling for the larger tube in the cap end, there was only about a millimetre of material left all round. Try that with a modern acrylic and chances are you will end up with a pile of acrylic shards.

Very nice Walter, I bid on ebay for some of these tubes but they went for silly money.

Lovely pen and finish Walter.

I have some of that as well as other colours and I love it. Having been to see Vince last week I had the opportunity to look at the new stuff and was tempted to buy a rod. It's stunning and I'm really pleased he has it as I'm sure I'll be buying more from him. Just need to make a pen with a bit of it now!
