This one is with one of the Mini Pine Cone blanks that Jim sent me and while it was on the lathe I thought it looked a bit dull, but the moment I put a CA coat on it, it popped, Try as I might I just can't capture the magic that is in this blank.

Jim, Thank you again. I can't do the other pine cone blank as I don't have the kit I want for it so it will have to wait until I do.

Thanks for the comments, guys it took me twice as long to turn as it would with one of my blanks as I didn't want any mishaps, it behaved really well, Looking forward to the next one and also making my own blanks if we get a few more days like yesterday.

Again, thanks for the comment, what looks like dust or specs on the blank is really specular highlights where the light has picked up tiny pieces of glitter or pearl. It's a shame I can't capture the overall effect as it is stunning and helps to give real depth to parts of the blank.

I was looking at these blanks yesterday after Neils post but didn't think the small cones did a lot. You've shown just how nice they really are and have done a fantastic job on a lovely kit

I think the cone blank that is still to do, will be spectacular, not taking anything away from this blank though.
