Tom welcome back learning to run is compulsory the demands from SWMBO will astound you. When I retired around 15 yrs ago I sensed a build up of tension with my bride so one day I snapped (well sort of) and said what are you doing now received the reaction it deserved giving me the opening to say well I am going the Supermarket like to come then quite a discussion when I explained my attitude designed to remove any sense of threat to her independance. My wife does not drive and as my best friend for 61 yrs receives valet service to wherever.

Amused with your windowless shop to work in recommend plenty of air flow to outside and in to avoid probs with CA glues etc as well as efficient dust control, look forward to your participation from me Down Under.

Kind regards Peter.

Welcome Tom! Peter's comments made me smile - my mom nearly had a nervous breakdown when my dad retired! It all settled down In the end, but you might appreciate the sanctuary of your windowless cavern...

Hi Tom I am new here myself and have been made very welcome so far, I do have a habit of wearing my welcomes thin wherever I go so while I am still here let me welcome you.
100% respect from me on the submariner bit, wow admiration or what, I suffered 10 days in one of those cans and did a bit of clearance diving on a course.
Terra firma for me mate, the more the firma the less the terra.
Your in good company with Neil on here I have read some of his exploits on other forums as well as here.
I am sure he will pop his boat in on you.
hasta la vista
