I was thinking about how the Americans have butchered our language and decided to list a few 'key' words they have spelt incorrectly. I have shown the correct version, then the American version and noted the letter that is wrong:

English ---------------> USA

pyjamas -------------> pajamas --------- Y
moustache ----------> mustache ------ O
colour ---------------> color ------------- U

mollusc ------------> mollusk, ---------- C
encyclopaedia ----> encyclopedia ---- A
bannister ----------> banister ---------- N
carburettor --------> carburetor ------- T

cosy -----------------> cozy -------------- S
sulphur -------------> sulfur ------------ P
enquiry -------------> inquiry ---------- E
fuelling -------------> fueling ---------- L
labelling ------------> labeling --------- L

Coincidence?

Burr a sharp object pain in the saddle unpleasant under the saddle heavens its an adoptive description someone could have done better to describe the beautiful material it produces from anywhere in the world. At rodeo time burr placed under the saddle drives a horse into fits of bad behavior. Whatever you call it I guarantee without question every penmaker in the world is a seeker and believer in those lumps formed on a tree just for us IMHO.

Have a nice day Brian.:thumbs::thumbs: Peter.
