Woods for Segmenting

I make quite a number of segmented pens, obviously i try to make the woods compliment each other and i mostly use Cocobolo and Bocote. What would your suggestions be for complementary woods for segmenting ... :thinks:

I use purple heart, blackwood, boxwood, beech, bocote. Lignum vitae can be good as well.
In fact , just stocked up on the above....... for a little job ive got on..:whistling:

I have quite a bit of Lignum vitae Matty, but i have never considered it in segmenting? :nooidea: I must have had a bad experience with this wood at sometime ... :whistling:

In what way Jim? working ability? Because its tough stuff!!
The stuff i had was almost green...? but worked with ok'ish..

I don't recall Matty, i say this because i have so much of it, i don't even consider it for making a pens with ... :thinks:
