I think Vince's Thuya and Amboyna has always been top notch certainly compared to some others.

Oh, well, another one bites the dust!!! Just been on Vinnie's site to check the thuya burl and noticed that he has become subjected to the 18mm downsizing that seems to have become prevalent among pen blank suppliers! Don't these greedy gits realise that we DO make pens other than slimlines, and that the blanks for these need to be thicker. I'm buggered if I'm gonna pay £3.50 + postage and end up busting it wide open when trying to drill a 12mm down its length!

I had better make my whinge more clear - I should have said that it's the WHOLESALE suppliers causing the problems - not blokes like Vinnie, who have to take whatever comes their way!

I got 2 from Snainton the other week. Just measured them and they are 26mm square.
