Grown in rough tough surroundings covered in thicket growth awful thorns mostly hollowed out by termites this bush grows to 15 or so feet slowly. These two pieces cut at right angles to the grain very hard to find anyway. The I got carried away with the bowl gouge and optical illusions came in but I had fun, gave it away in a swap. Did I tell you I happen to covert Conkerberry.

I don't mind the shape, the wood is beautiful, the log looks a lot like Yew in the picture. :thumbs:

There seems to be a lot going on when i look at it, i do like it, but there is something stopping me loving it if you know what i mean. :thinks:

Nicely made pen, but not sure on the shape...
The wood has taken on a translucent appearance, not sure if that is just the photo though?
