I love George Watkins blanks, they are something special but not the easiest of things to turn Alan. I wouldn't have believed that you've only done a handful of pens and done this one so well if I didn't know you.

Excellent

Thanks Paul i did take my time with it especially the drilling of the blank as I'm sure they would explode if heavy handed then i turned it to round nice and steady.
I'm very pleased with it what price tag do you think i should put on this pen..

Very nice looking pen Alan, I do like these hybrid blanks :thumbs:

As for price it depends on where it fits in your overall pricing strategy, because of the blank & its cost I would be looking for a premium price for a premium product at least £60 :thinks:

A lovely blank made into a beautiful pen, Alan - well done! If you had an outlet in London's Burlington Arcade this would be on sale for a coupla-hundred quid. There again, if you could afford to retail there you probably wouldn't be making pens! LOL!

It's a cracking pen Alan - as has been said it depends on your market but forget how much it cost you to make - where else could you possibly buy it from !! £60 at least - you can always come down

It must be me, in fact I know it is but I just do not see anything to rave over in these blanks.
A chunk of firewood encased in plastic and sold at an exorbitant rate.
In that case you are all far too cheap, pricing should start at least double your quotes, I wouldn't do one for less than £185.00.
Probably why I don't do them init?

Alan George made a beaut blank for you to work with the challenges I see are the changes of blue to timber which end top or bottom to the cap or to the nib. WEll you chose to feature the wood deliniating the top cleverly by making the size stronger to the centre ring then following the line through the centre ring allowing that top matching when closed guided by the blue accents.:claps:Commencing the lower half to the fine ring sizing was subtle and effective. Turning the pen reveals that ever so deep blue then beaut burl on the other side a rare combination favouring neither but complementing both. So I see a pen in a pocket with top class held in the hand exciting indeed is it good value you bet mate it is out of the box great.

The kit is a real challenge and rightly so we need those challenges you met so well, Apart the way you photographed enhanced the pen like it very much as a fountain pen.

WEll done greatest blank sensitive turning mate.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
