Translated using Google translate from the D&M website so might need a bit of interpretation (and the grammatical structure German might be):

Recommended Use:

Depending on how the surface is arranged after the turning grind grain from 240 to 2000 grain grinding not only with the machine running, but most of all grain even when the machine is in the direction of grain (depending on the type of wood). To follow all the sanding scratches are removed, and the finest.

Pen finish with a soft, lint-free (important!) Cloth on at about 400-700 U / min. rotating Pen Blank apply, distribute short and quickly, while spending very little pressure with the cloth onto the workpiece. Switch off the machine and let it dry for about 5 minutes. 2. Pour the order directly to the first order, without sanding. To do this, be sure to use a clean cloth or use a fresh section of the cloth. The 2nd order, let dry for about 10 minutes so that the surface is then finished. A 3rd or 4th order increases the degree of gloss.

Application Error:

Pen finish is a fast-drying surface sealing. If you find that a contract in the dried state fine tracks such. As has grooves, this can be due to a too little pen-finish has been applied, on the other, the cloth was pressed too long against the Pen Blank and has dried already during application. Even when using the towels are not soft enough may cause marks. The darker the wood, the easier it is such fine traces become visible. Also looming located in the Pen Finish deposited during application fine unevenness by lint wipes. It is very important for the application of the Pen Finish to only use lint-free soft cloth.

If you find any marks on the surface of the workpiece is so easy to get without any problem. Sand the surface with micro mesh abrasive cloth grain starting with 2400 or 3200 (depending on the size of the irregularities) to high grain-12000 when the machine is in the longitudinal direction. Now, however, has an absolutely perfect surface appears somewhat duller than pure order. With this method, you can also influence the degree of gloss. Pen has a satin gloss finish with 2 coats. The more orders the glossier the surface. With the touch of micromesh the surface is matte to satin finish. After grinding back, you can either leave the surface so or make one or more other orders as desired.

Quick start:

Pen finish quickly and spread, while the machine with about 400 with a lint-free soft cloth with little pressure on the pen Blank - 700 rev / min. Run.
Switch off the machine and allow surface to dry for about 5 minutes.
2. Make the job just like the first, then let dry for 10 minutes.
Further orders increase the degree of gloss.

The lint free cloth is a must Vic.
Apart from that, put some on with the lathe at low speed, turn the lathe off, roll a fag ( or whatever takes your fancy), put kettle on.
Make Tea, put some more on.
It's not a high gloss but gives a very nice finish on open grained wood without the "flecking", which can occur with CA occasionally.
