Did you get the kit in a cracker?

Got a couple off Woody at the York do.
I wanted to see if they were as bad as everybody said, and they're not!

They're worse!:funny:

Gave the first one away to the first person who didn't go "Urrgh", and this will probably go the same way.

Come on Neil, tell us what wood and if it is stained .. To be honest, it isn't one of my favourite kits but this does have some appeal to it .. :winking:

Thats a very nice pen Neil, don't listen to the wrinklies they just don't like change. Empress commands as good a price as a lot of pens and I've been able to buy a pint or two having sold them.

Nice blank and the kit doesn't look so bad, surely.:goesred:

Having only had an Emperor (pen, not the real thing:face:) in my hands I can't comment fully on the Empress.

Design is similar to the Emperor but I'm sure it's not going to be as good judging by the feed back you guys have given.

Thank god orange squash is cheap down your way Paul. Less of the wrinklies, I used the cream that was recommended in hello magazine and it worked quite well.

The pen looks nicely turned Neil.
I've never tried one of these kits so I don't know why they are unpopular.
