Had a wry smile when I read picked up whilst walking the dogs in this City it is compulsory to carry a plastic bag walking dogs and the pick ups are never so pleasant one advantage of rural living Paul no such niceties you can pick up timber like this. The great happening is making pens from obscure pieces never know what will turn up.
I agree about the hazel. I would never have thought to turn a pen from a piece of timber picked up so recently. I always assumed it would have to dry for a few months but I am obviously wrong there. Memo to self!
