Decided I couldn't wait so had a bash this afternoon.

Zebrano on a 10K Artisan Twist kit from Axminster. Sanded with Micro mesh and 10 coats of CA.

Pic is dark (sorry) and I don't have the software on the wifes laptop to lighten it :(

Lessons learned......... Wear latex gloves when using CA :whistling: Amongst a few others.

But I'm pleased for a first attempt.

Criticism most welcome.

I am no expert with software Phil but had a go at lightening your picture for you.
If this is your first ever attempt I think you could give me some lessons.

Fab thanks for doing that, I appreciate it and all the kind words.

I'm a little bit miffed with the lower section where it meets the centre band. I think there's a bit of CA on the "corner". Thankfully hard to see on that pic :whistling:

Whats the best way of dealing with that in future ?

Bl**dy addictive this though :funny: :funny: :funny:

Phill, take a look at this thread made by Mark, this will help with the issue you mention ... :bwink: http://www.penturners.co.uk/pen-making-accessories/410-my-pen-sander.html
