My brother asked me if I would take a tree out for him as close to the ground as possible so I pulled the whole thing out to get the root. I'm really glad it did and having stabilised it, this is the result.

I'm not sure what the exact type of tree it was Alan, just an evergreen conifer of some sort.
Was the root denser that the conifer wood Paul,how long are you drying root before using are we talking about thick roots chopped up or just thick enough for pen.
