Very nicely done John. A smashing blank, nicely turned and finished... and I'm warming to the kit

John,
Well turned and a nice looking kit,

Glad i can show her what it looks like now

They are quite a chunky piece of kit. You know you've got one in your hand, and I do like the quality of the parts and how they are packed with instructions.

Exactly, well worth the extra expense for a quality made kit.
Bit like tools, the Chinese flood the market with cheap clones but to have the better quality you have to pay more.. Even if it is for more expensive chinese quality LOL
Buy cheap buy twice !!

Great looking piece of timber.
I don't like the way these kits were designed.
Looks like the blank has to be tapered to fit into the nib and top sections.
Makes the blank end look way over turned.
If I were doing these kits I would turn the blank ends to fit flush with the components.

John,

I'm afraid this doesnt endear me to the lunatic that currently inhabits the PSI design asylum. I'm sure that this is a technically lovely pen by your good self but not my choice, I await to be converted.

The kit could grow on me and one day i may just put one in an order, and totally agree with what Les says regarding the look of how the blank tapers to the edges .. Still a well turned pen John ..
