The deal from Axminster......... Ordered thirty and went to order a second batch and was too late. Finished eight of them in a bit of wood that I bought labelled as Bubinga, but I was sure it wasnt. Got it home and put it through the band saw and thought - I recognise that smell. Cut the blanks and started turning them, confirmed my first suspicions, it was Honduras Rosewood. Didnt think it was Bubinga, the grain wasnt very straight and it was darker. Very happy with that purchase, but think that the pens finished in this yew are better.

If this pic is huge I resized it at 530 x 620 so if anyone knows what the heck is going on please let me know, it might have resized itself automatically overnight when Photobucket manages to instal the aftermidnight bunch of cockroaches that seems to power its server but I live in hope.

This wood sure does make nice looking pens, as seen here .. But it seems very underestimated in pen making ..
