I'm curious to know whether anyone has tried the Alumilite Clear yet?

I ordered a couple of the smaller packs to try it out, as the new pricing now makes it pretty competitive against the other resins available over here. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though, since I'm still recovering from a house move and we haven't yet managed to sort out a room for casting.

I thought I'd give the alumilite clear a go, having used opticast 100 for the past year so I stumpted up for the 7tlr kit lol go big or go home
And I must admit I prefer it over the opticast the geling is much more a concistant time wise and I seem to be getting better gel blends and a lot less air bubbles which I find odd as the alumilite gels in about 7mins and opticast for me is between 10 - 15 min's but I'm not complaining.
One thing I do love is the min cast weight, with opticast I struggle with less than 30g mixed weight unless I pre heat or heat my shed to stupid temp's but the alumilite gels perfectly fine at 15g total and the shed around 20 degree's
For me in my situation alumilite has out done the opticast, even though it's still more expensive I won't be buying opticast again
Thanks to the original poster for posting as without this post I wouldn't have bought it

So pleased with the sharing involved here on this post and the resulting expansion of availability and results. Full marks waiting to hear what Paul has to say as his explicit videos I also value with casting in mind.

Peter.
