And finally a pair of Blue and Glow in the dark for Light Pulls

It wasn’t until they came out of the pot that I realised the Blue and the Glow Acrylic has seperated?
Wasn’t expecting that ???

Picture blanks in the pot now ???

Well, I did turn one of the pine cone blanks I made and to be honest VERY disappointing :sob:
Due to the size of the cones and the fact they were open, once turned they wasnt very much left of the actual Pine Cone.

I will have another go at another one with a different kit sometime this week and see how that goes but at the moment I dont hold out much hope :rolling:

Picture tubes, yes, they looked good in the picture above BUT something went wrong along the way and when I started turning they literally disintegrated.
With the exception of ONE blank I made with the last of my old acrylic......
They were made with a brand new batch of acrylic (first use) and it is not right :thinks:

I have made a couple of Plain (Clear) blanks this morning and have them in the pot now, I want to see if these are ok, if not then it has to be something to do with this particular batch of Acrylic... I will let you know..

Did turn a few today though and they will be in the Acrylic area soon

Steven, You have a PM

This one Brad

http://houseofresin.co.uk/alumilite-amazing-clear-cast-epoxy-resin-940ml-32-fl-oz-1-15kg/

One I have used for a while now and never had an issue.
Just opened a new pair of bottles to do the pen blanks and they have gone very brittle, Hard but you can snap them with your hands :thinks:
Haven’t done anything different, I honestly think its just an “Off Bottle” :rolling:
An "off bottle" is the reason I have moved away from alumilite as I have had a few that I have had various issues with in last few orders. Makes it pretty expensive when you can't use the last kilo or so
