After playing with the other two pens I made today and the shed tidy up I found a pair of pen kits that I had forgotten all about.
Not going to mention them yet BUT they will definitely go with the blanks I have started....

They are little clay Nail Art pieces that I have glued onto a Painted Tube (one Red & one White)
I did make one of these before but they are VERY labour intensive and take a number of hours to get ready as they have to be flat(ish) and not stick out and about all over the place.

With the kits I found these should be really good, looking forward to getting these in the pot and cast - Turned and made into pens

Could not resist saying you nailed them so far mate, also you have your finger on the pulse for trending. I had other versions planned having bought the entire stock from a Nail Lady some years ago.One night daughter 5 and wife No 1 were plotting and planning doing craft in the kitchen while I chose peace and quiet in the lounge I gave Wilma my collection to use with their Cards etc.Brownie points plus.

There is a future IMHO with these two pens in the making our youngest granddaughter demonstrates this on her fingers at any one time, she is 15 ,an enthusiastic fan of these so I predict without a doubt they will fly out the sales table and demand for more will follow.slick timing.

Peter.

They both look very interesting but as you have mentioned VERY labour intensive lol, how do you cast your blanks because I can see air bubbles being a bit of a problem with those if you don't have the proper gear, guessing by the title you do though lol

Hi Martin
Yes, have all the gear and these will be going in the pot tomorrow, along with a couple of specials for a couple of friends :whistling:
Then I have to start packing everything :sob::sob::sob::sob:
Lathe will be last so I will at least get to turn these two before it gets dismantled

Thanks for ALL the suggestions guy's, some cracking ideas there, will have to try my luck with SWMBO - if I get to post then you know I survived :funny::funny::funny::funny:

Safe travel and move mate. Is it near the Harbour or inland from Poole?

Peter.

At the moment Peter we live a ten min walk from Poole Quay, my wife was born here here in Poole and I grew up here (from age 10) Poole has grown so much in that time and is now a very busy (Manic) place with terrible traffic problems and a useless council that just mess things up even more :rolling:
As there is just now the 2 of us we decided it was time to move away to a quieter area, away from the traffic and issues a big suburban area has :thinks:
It has 20+ years but finally getting to move :banana::banana::banana:
