    About to start using resin

I have bought some epoxy resin and i about to have a go at filling a hole in a flat piece of wood. I just want to get the hang of mixing it and seeing how it goes from there.
My question is what do a put on the bottom of the hole to stop the resin running out.
    cheers

What type of resin ? Lots of different types & mixing varies a bit, how deep is the hole? Deep holes may require building up in layers. As for filling the hole it depends on the look you are after, I use different methods for different looks. Sometimes fill the hole with sawdust sometimes leave blank, to stop the resin running straight through a simple bit of tape on the other side is normally enough, good luck, above all have fun learning lol

You need a pressure pot for alumilite otherwise you'll get loads of bubbles. It's awful stuff; I don't know why it's so popular. Glasscast 50 is far easier to use and there's no need for an expensive pressure pot.

Green mould release tape from easy composites to seal holes.
