It was very interesting I have to say!
A lot of clubs in the UK are based in "Rent for the night" type premises like village halls and suchlike, but the set up here is permanent. They work with people with disabilities and have a couple of the Oneway lathes that can swivel to suit a wheelchair. Their demo lathe is the biggest Jet (can't remember model!), and is wired up with cameras and Mics. Images are projected onto a drop down screen so every cut can be seen.
A very nice old chap told me that if I wanted to try my hand at turning, someone would help me out!
They have a waiting list of people who wish to join but have had to cap their membership at 160 to comply with insurance!

Happy problem these days having to restrict their membership Neil the have to be doing the right thing. On a review I noticed the turned object on the yellow cloth marked first prize. Well worth a second and third look over the pics to take it all in.
