Should be a great day out for those who can get there.

Wood Craft weekend | The National Botanic Garden of Wales

I will be going there with the missus,
It will cost me lunch in the White Hart thatched Cottage pub and micro Brewery in Llanddarog
If anyone from this neck of the woods has been before a little info will be appreciated on what to expect.
The last 2 craft shows I went to were very disappointing .

Was hoping to make it, but am in a wedding instead!

Not been before, but the location is stunning!

Out of interest the valley the botanical gardens are in is the valley that would have been flooded 50 years ago (see my post on celebration pens)!

I have been to the Gardens many times and it is a beautiful place.
If you are going wear a coat in the gardens and a T-shirt for the Tropical greenhouse where the show is being held,
it does get quite warm in the greenhouse and is very windy and open in the gardens.

Should be a good day and I am sure to spend lots of money :sob:

Its only 25miles away from the Red Kite feeding place... Ummm, two places in one day but would make a fantastic day to fit both in.

Paul speaking of Red Kites reminded me of the Scottish program last night some discussion and pics of Osprey and the way they were almost exterminated and the due diligence being given the species with which you no doubt would agree.

We have Ospreys near to us on the Somerset Levels Peter. they're migratory birds but seem to be coming back year after year. Hopefully they'll breed sometime.
