Howdy, howdy, howdy!

I'm Alex and I'm in my 4th year of business as a cabinet-maker. I have just tried my hand at pen-turning for the first time this week and am now wondering what took me so long: what a lovely, gratifying thing to do!

I used some of Taylor Mirfield's kits, along with tools supplied by Oliver's Woodturning.
My thanks go to Ed at O.W. for his invaluable advice and to Dan for his excellent quality kits.

Having read just a few of the threads on this forum, it seems like you're all a nice bunch of folk, to boot.

Unfortunately, I'm a bit flaky when it comes to forums but I'll do my best to make some valuable contributions.

Until then, mes amis!

Welcome to the nuthouse, you'll be sorry you took up this hobby, especially if you'r thinking of making money out of it.
You can make a small fortune, if you start with a big one.
