I have recently started turning. I was bought an Axminster lathe by my children, looking to keep me occupied in my retirement. I'm still learning how to use the tools but thought I'd like to give pen turning a try. I've been looking around the old Internet and asking at my local turning clubs about what is best to start with, without then having to upgrade later. As you know there are lots of different ideas around and I don't want to waste money on things that don't work. Hopefully I can now look around this forum and ask.
Thank you all.

Welcome dave mate. Spend some time reading the threads then ask away. Don't forget there's no such thing as a daft question.
