Hi Jerry heres me feeling sorry for myself and you tell us you have this severe injury. WElcome to the forum from over here. For Pen Turning I have for twenty plus years turned sitting at my lathe, it just made good sense to me. I will look for some pics of how and where might help you. Couple of days ago I bought a disability four wheel traveller that fits in three parts in the boot for shopping etc where lots of walking is involved. This week I turn 83 yrs.

Hello Gerry, a big welcome to the forum, Slimlines are great to turn, and there are so many other challenges out there as well.
How about some photos of your work?:banana::thumbs:

I buy what is called a bare lathe (no motor no stand) then Welded a bench, mounted a 3 phase motor with a speed controller on the bench top (room under the bench). I use a draughtsmans adjustable seat. These pics 3 yrs ago during the setting up of the Aussie VL150 in place of the VL120 that I relocated .
