Hi everyone.
Fairly new to Pen Turning and General woodworking to be honest.
My son got me into turning and I found making pens seems to be my favourite pass time

Just now started with Acrylic and making my own designs, will post some photos when I get the chance but had a quick scout through the forum and a lot of VERY clever and talented people on here, not sure my pens are going to match up to (or get slose to) a lot of yours.... :shocking:

Hi Colin
Welcome. As someone in the same boat i.e new to turning in general...It does not matter if what you post is not as good as others.... you will get help and advice based on what you have achieved as to how they could be even better next time..

Sometimes it’s good to share what might have gone wrong...it gives us all hope that it’s not just us it happens to.

Vic your Avatar keeps reminding me to look up pics of my BSA in the 1950,s. I sold it to buy our engagement ring for Wilma in 1954.

Hi Colin - welcome to the fold. Everyone here had to start somewhere, so please do feel you can post your triumphs and your disappointments, and ask what ever it is you need to know. There'll always be someone along before too long who'll be able to help.

Welcome aboard Colin. We’ve all been where you are on the learning curve so don’t be shy showing what you make. If we can see it we can help you improve. Enjoy your turning.
