Hi all.

I have been watching woodturning on Youtube, and having recently moved house and acquired a large workshop at the end of the garden, decided to give woodturning a blast, something to do when i retire in a couple of years. Bought a lathe, etc.
Started turning in Jan this year. Have turned about 7 or 8 pens so far, I will post pics of some when able to. Also turned a couple of small bowls, the first one I manage to turn in to a ring, went too far down and popped the centre out, will make something out of it. Finding I'm enjoying this turning lark. I am going to have a go at casting my own blanks soon, pressure pot arriving today.
Booked to go to the Maker Central show and a local Craft show in May.

Look forward to reading forum.

Cheers. Jon.D

Hello and welcome Jon, it’s a long road, so make sure you have a comfortable pair of walking shoes, and deep pockets.:thumbs::whistling:

Hello Jon. Welcome to the forum. I have 20 years turning experience and still manage to occasionally make designer firewood. I knew the bottom was thin but thought I just might save it if I was careful. It was the proverbial last cut.
