Hi all I am a very new just bought my first mini lathe a JET Jwl-1221vs 12inch by 24inch Variable Speed Woodturning Lathe with two Nova Chucks. but also a jacobs chuck and an extensive set of Robert Sorby tool rests both straight and curved, long and short as well as the original standard tool rests.
Plus a Lumberjack UDE65 65L Chip and Dust Extractor a 1400mm band saw table top, but none of it is set up yet as I have to clear a storage room IE: bedroom living in a terraced house we dont have a big rear garden more a small yard. But I am looking forward to starting so I will be asking lots of questions along the way

Regards

Ian

Hi Ian

Welcome

I have the same lathe, and find it excellent, perfect for pen makling.
A very confident machine, well made and reliable.
Look forward to seeing what you produce with it.

Any problems just ask, there's a lot of experience on this forum, willingly given.

Hello Ian being as I am old and left school in 1951 some 68 yrs ago sympathies. Lincoln minds me of Sherrifs and Robin Hood, no shortage of twisted old trees etc. Welcome from over here,a place for sharing and fun.

Thank you all for a very warm welcome, TBH I am looking forward to getting this set up and running. But my work has just gone mental so its going to be a tad slower to get it setup, And it does look like I will enjoy this new hobby and a new rabbit hole for me to go with my other hobby.
