Hi folks, my name is Martin and i'm the resident newby. I have only just recently fired up a lathe (lockdown has its uses). I thought i'd start small, with turning pens. I have successfully turned a few slimline pens which turned out to make nice xmas stocking fillers. Now i'd like to move on and expand my pen turning. So I'm hoping you kind people could offer sage words as my problems arise.

If the answer ain't on here then there ain't one. There are some very clever and talented people that use this forum (not that I classify myself as in this group) that are only too willing to offer thier help and advice. One thing though.....learn how to post pictures in the correct orientation :whistling::whistling::funny:....'cos no pictures...it didn't happen.... Also the banter is very entertaining.....

Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure at some point in the near future the begging bowl will appear as I look for help digging me out of the proverbial hole. Until then I'll trawl the forum looking for pearls of wisdom. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere that explains "how to convince the wife I need a new ...............":winking:

Warning! This thread has not had any replies for over a year. You are welcome to post a reply here, but it might be better to start a new thread (and maybe include a link to this one if you need to).
