Best of luck with the springer, they're crackers but with a beautiful nauture, one of my neighbours used to breed Welsh springers and it was almost impossible to tire them out.
Our lab on the other hand chucks herself in the stream so she can get smelly and muddy then lies down in the sun and won't move - unless there's food involved of course.

You're very right Bob, he is tireless. I take him for a walk and throw a ball for him constantly. When we get back he's knackered but 10 mins later.... he wants it all over again.

They're a wonderful dog to observe, the alertness and playful exploration from a distance????
My sister has one that wants to eat me so when she visits I make sure I have a sharp blade handy to keep it at a distance or in the pot with it.

My son is training him and its great to see him respond to hand signals doing exactly what he's supposed to do. I give him hand signals and he give me them back and does exactly what he wants. :nooidea:

Sounds like my kids as teenagers. Do you still have the stick gatherer dog?
