I think it may have been their C.r.a.p.1 model Jim.
I can ask him if you like?

It was very quiet George, and if i was to build a bench for the lathe i would need one to fit underneath .. My last Camvac lasted a few weeks before it went on ebay .. :whistling:

that is the important bits- the rest of the detail is only the canister capacity.

i have a twin motor 4" one hooked up to my bandsaw. I went for the small capacity and put a drop box in between, so that when I hook it up to the thicknesses I am not having to empty the cam vac every 2 minutes. The drop box is a big blue barrel.

none of them are quiet jim- you can vent the exhaust out of the way, which helps with the noise a bit, apparently.

Jim I'd really consider some kind of separator what ever vac you end up with, it really does save the hassle of cleaning filters & changing bags

I've been using one for years Vic, it's one of the all metal originals & I wouldn't want to be without it.

This is it set up with a vacuum I bought off Billy.

I also made a Thien separator a while back which works very well but I don't think it's quite as good as the Dust Deputy, that said they both get plenty of use.

I like that set up George, does exhausting outside reduce the noise? :thinks:

Alot Jim its not quiet but when using only 1 motor its not at all that bad bit more noisy with both of them in use its not fully air tight yet so I am hoping it will be a bit better when it is

I used to have a twin motor and a triple motor and I made a baffle box from an old kitchen cupboard to put the exhaust into and it does help reduce the noise but they were still very loud.

after awhile you'll be a bit like the thread title: What? (did you say)...... (Argggh)... camvac :vangry:!!!
