While I decide on what effect to add to the flower creation I am working on I thought I would start something and post it here when finished it will come under the heading of "Other Things We Turn Or Make".

I will not say what it is lets see as I progress who can see what it is, today I started by preparing the wood and this little pile is what I have so far the larger pieces are 3" square and various lengths the smaller ones are about 1 1/4" square. There are going to be five all together when they are finished. Also a photo with some story sticks to make things easier for me.

Have fun everyone

The last couple of hours work, some of the little spindles turned to the correct diameter and marked out. This is all of this one done now onto another 10 for another part of the completed item. They all need to be remounted to drill holes and turn some detail

The picture on the lathe is just how I measure my spindles to give me a guide to get the correct diameter

Keep guessing as I progress

tHe theme continues I fear for the health of the power board already filled in part by whatever another foot or so to the left would help mate.

The project continues Well there are five in total.

I managed to turn all down to the main diameter of all of the components. I have completely turn 4 of the 5 parts of one of the components which I have photographed.

There are only two more parts to make one is a base and the other is some ply

Could be cryptex, if there were a few more differently shaped parts
Saying that, with a few more parts it could be anything you decided
