Well kind of nothing. I sold 2 pens to the owner and one to a casting instructor.

After not getting a chance to fish for some of the thousands of salmon in Alaska I needed some fly fishing therapy and one of my fish was this little beauty, a full finned rainbow at 8 1/2 lbs caught on a tiny size 16 nymph pattern.

Nice fish, it will go well with some chips. You did well to land it with such a small hook.

Love a nice piece of trout and not to be confused with the old trout.

Looks a nice fish. Did you fish from the bank or a boat?

From the bank Allen, it's a small stillwater fishery in Northumberland and no boats or wading allowed. Always satisfying catching on flies you've tied yourself and catching fish you've seen and targeted.
Was a difficult fishing day, strong winds and fish mostly deep but I saw a few feeding on tiny midges in the surface and this was one of them. The other 2 fish I kept were only 2 pounders.

The missus is going to get a hell of a shock when she gets some out of the freezer and under the grill in that case Derek :funny:

What a fantastic looking specimen and the Rainbow is a beauty.

You can't half go off some people :winking:
