Coinciding with turning 83 on the 6th I took my mini wheels to the Hospital . My visit to the Vascular surgeon after 6 mths of being entirely pushed around with scans and deep scans the stuffy Associate Professor said I have arthritus in the knees,go to an Endoctriologist. Meantime its a long walk from the car park to the rooms in our main hospital made pleasant using the Chariot. It comes to three piece, The batteries, the comfy seat, and the the four wheels, tiller and motor combined. Fits in the car or the four wheel drive. Our main mall near us involves long distances so two trial runs there proved a relief for me. Wilma sends me around as an advanced scout during the shopping times.

Looks like two new knees one day.

Expecting 5 kilos of superb timber blanks that are on their way. The snow on the surrounding hills heralded in a freezing spring much like I experienced in the USA and UK one trip.

Peter.

Peter, a somewhat belated Happy Birthday to you. Now all you need is a small turbo charger and there will be no stopping you. Two new knees and you will be chasing around like a youngster inside and making a quick getaway on wheels outside.

Happy Belated Birthday Peter. You could do with a basket or even a trailer for your new wheels just in case you come across a bit of nice wood.

That reminds me of a song:

:whistling::whistling:"Turning and turning the wheels go round" :whistling::whistling: or was it "world" .... think my version is better...

Disappointed the wheels are not wooden and turned mind..:sob:

I seem to have missed this thread. Nice set of wheels Peter, and a belated happy birthday for the 6th too. If I am as active as you at 83 I will be a happy man. But having just seen your photos of Ikea in another thread, we might have to confiscate your wheels - more or less a whole carpark to yourself. Wheel spins, wheelies, - you'll be drag racing next.

Take care Peter, and enjoy your new mobility.

Reminds me of a judge at an exhibition with our wood group, one evening before the opening it was customary for the judge to turn up and discuss his opinion on the presentation night. Boring so and so criticised the heck out of everything. At one stage he revved up a lazy susan at speed and said hear that the balls in the swivel should have been made in wood.I was President then and about fed up and said I don,t know of many people who spin a lazy susan at 30mph. Subdued somewhat he became more pleasant.

Kevin the wheels are solid no punctures not suitable for the footpath. Here in Canberra its legal to ride your bike on the footpath, maniacs everywhere in Lycra.
