Hi all
just had a Tooltec 24 litre air compressor given for nothing there are no pipes with it no instructions so just wondering if l could run this off my 2500 watt generator also where could l find manual for it l only want to run a nail gun, blower, and paint sprayer on it.

If it the one I a man thinking of I believe it's the same as the Hawk unit as they are a Chinese import badged for whoever decided to sell them.

Not sure about running it off the generator and what HP your compressor is, but if it's the same as the Hawk at 1.5kw then your 2.5 kw generator should manage that ok..

At start up and full load the 220v (50hz) 2HP compressor will draw around 10A (2400w) on a single phase motor.

It's close to the maximum capacity of the 2500w generator.. in the therory it should work but will be close to maxing out the generator. Especially if it's an old unit and not producing what it was originally doing.

I presume you are running on 220v and single phase??
