Has anyone done this, i saw a pine cone cast in resin that was then turned into a little lidded box, it looked beautiful. Just wondering is anyone has done this and what resin they used.
Have seen some US vids on youtube but get the resin they use seems to be a bit difficult.

Thanks Peter & Mark for pointing Ken in my direction.

Hi Ken,
If it is one of my projects, (I don't think it is as you described it beautiful, HaHa) then I used Opticast 100 polyurethane resin which cured in a pressure pot.
That resin has recently been re-named Opticast 1000 and the price has gone up.
I have now re stocked with Alumilite clear which in large quantities works out to a similar price. Alumilite is available here in the UK from Metalclay Ltd.
There are many other resins available.

Regards
Paul
