As most sites have upgraded to HTTPS for security reasons, how long
before this site is upgraded to be more secure?

I suppose it all depends on how much Phil wants to take it and how much the SSL would cost Les.

I understand that HTTP/2 is much faster and for security reasons as well..

There's little reason to need HTTPS on a simple forum like this. It would just add expense and complication for the site owner for little benefit.

HTTPS is important when the data transferred between user and site is of some value, eg credit card, bank details or other significant private data is being exchanged. That doesn't happen here.
Just ensure you don't just use one password across every site you use and you have very, very little to worry about.

I'm not offering any expertise, just asking a question.
What have you contributed to this site?

Les

Nothing, but then I don’t criticise this site either

I just assumed since you know so much about it you would be offering help.

All I did was ask a question.
Where do you get that I was criticizing the site?
Why don't you contribute something positive?
What did I do to you to cause you that you want to start a pissing match?
