Is that you gluing up pen blanks Derek? Are you OK? Did you manage to remember what to do?

I think your lathe is out in the shed somewhere.

I will be asking questions later like, now that they are all glued up what size do I need to drill out the tubes that I filled with glue to fit the pen parts:thinks::devil::devil::devil:

Well done - seeing that made me feel at home. I have a similar system in place that uses 'off-peak' time at the kitchen table plus umpteen niches, places for stuff in various levels of completion.
Keep it up.

Not a normal sight to see me making pens quite often months between making another one hence Phil's comment earlier. I am normally making either models or turning some bowls etc. I also have 20 items to turn for a demo I am giving at our woodturning club as well as turning things for our club competition have the first one done redy for this Saturday

Well that will keep you inside and nice and warm, while you read up on how to turn a pen.:devil:

I will have to wing it not a pen turning book in sight(sorry Walter not even yours:goesred:) so you could see one or two frankinpens well I just could call them steam punk pens. Went out to the shed and it is nice and warm in there.

I noticed people using Araldite to glue Rocks etc at the Lapidary Club, they swear by it.

Peter.

I have been using it for years normally I get the 24hour stuff but most places seem to sell the 15 minute or 5 minute set time ones now
