Well after all the pen turning I managed to have a couple of failures one was just me not thinking when glueing up and the second was just a simple break out due to possibly to little glue. Both of these could have been so easily avoided.
The first was that I forgot to paint the tube and the second as I described above. The annoying part was they were both on Tempest pen kits which were the ones I wanted to turn out nice.

My last three failures were tempest too.
( need to order some tubes from Phil).
One I think was a split in the wood.
The second was a CA glued tube that I turned to soon.
Third I put down to me.
Recoverd the tubes, but really want to start afresh.
You
DAVE

The worst part of it was the white blank I glued up I did paint that one(still to turn). I certainly have not forgotten how it feels as with some of the things I turn because I am trying to push myself end up as something else due to something not looking right or other reasons. How else are we going to learn if not by our mistakes and misfortunes:goesred:
