Came across this youtube video, it has many special features like steel toe cap flip flops, or were they just toes. There the QD tool rest, the gouges are not quite to Robert Sorby's standard. I did hear the turner in the video applied to be Superman once as well.

It is plain kin SCARY!!!

We had a guy in our Wood Group who did scary things like this on a home made lathe with Wooden Pulleys. He was a qualified trade turner (not many of them). Fearless.

Peter.

I'm not sure if the tool rest on his lathe or the safety guard on his disk cutter is the most scary. I like the fact that he wears a hard hat though, although I'm not entirely certain why, and I'm not sure that he does either. You can't help admiring the end result however.
