Last night I bought from my mate a dignified proper press from a mate. He is a master technician who installed every part of the Dental Surgery, repaired handpieces etc. He is reincarnated to a high powered Auditor these days. He has packed up his second but not finished Aeroplane in boxes awaiting a new house build so I am waiting till he locates the pins etc and he has promised me his stash of Dental Handpieces and special tools to fix and strip them. Many of the dental handpieces cost hundreds of dollars each.Tapping gears with pin punch days will now be over, the press cost 850 new.

You may not remember my gift to him shown when he sold me for 50 dollars a 7000 dollar Durr compressor with dryers fitted from a refurb Dentist Practice.

I used a handpiece and the wiper arm from a computer symbols of when he was king of the Dental World and now Auditor on billion dollar projects in Australia, his birthyear on a penny coin. The small front section on nthe pen Hairy Oak that polished transparent cut on the cross. The Burl is my favourite Brown Mallee. This sits on hid desk at work and has become a favourite symbol to his visitors and worker friends alike.

Peter.

Nice one Peter, certainly worth making the pen for him. Wait to see what you do with some of the bits you have

Talking to my Burlgetter mate he gave me a half trailer load of offcuts from burl. He had three shipping containers ready to go of blanks. We looked at a one ton burl. I have to hitch the trailer and bring it home and dry them out and face the wrath at home,(where are you going to put them ,do you not have enough for twenty people etc). The answer is yes,but you know how it is. They are large and small versions of this pen rest Brown Mallee.

Left the post of the press in Bunnings today, freaked out just before I left, retraced my steps and thank goodness found it. Will tune and prune as I go,having the fun of Cork. Went to a farmers market, apples to cry for, the best strawberries I have ever eaten. The last of many delicacies now temps yesterday 0 to 9 celcius from an arctic blast. Last month the highest temps since records for this month of April. Shock horror. I am sure over your way thats just a summers day but every year it takes facing.

Shades of 1970,s and 1980,s caught up with me tonight when I was a Director for the National Heart Foundation. This group had a ra ra announcing allprevious groups and sub groups will be combined. I was invited for this occasion so I picked up the outside burl cuts by 5pm then scrambled to clean up for 6 pm. Made it in time but no pics yet of them I will try for tomorrow. The Heart Specialist I use was there as a current board member.I dont know if you remember the woman that did the pre scan gave me a lecture for 40 0f the 60 minute scan, when I got to the Professor it turned out the lady I complained about chapter and verse was his wife I found out later. Circulating tonight I spoke with him he assured me my comments were well received by the practice. Anyway I was able to complement the surgeon who operated on me a couple of weeks ago.
